Stript Wax Bar: Waxing and Vajacials

Yup, vajacials. That’s what it says. Let’s just say that after the “facial” my vagina got at Stript Wax Bar that my face was jealous, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let me start at the beginning…

After painful and traumatizing experiences waxing by bikini line in my younger years I swore off waxing, had some laser hair removal and vowed never to try waxing again – EVER. However, against my better judgement, last week Kristal and I headed to the Westside to try out the services that we had heard so much about at Stript Wax Bar.  OY VEY! While I wanted to cancel this appointment and stay true to my no-waxing policy, I was intrigued…I figured “what the heck! It has been years since I have tried waxing and I am SO curious about this whole vajacial treatment.” So off we went…fingers (and legs) crossed!

Brazilian Bikini Wax

My nerves were calmed when I was greeted by Inez, my esthetician for the day, in the trendy salon. I shared my feelings and past experiences about waxing and she reassured me that I would be okay. I was secretly hoping that since I had gone through childbirth not once, but twice since my last attempt at waxing that I’d be a little tougher! I won’t go into too much detail about the waxing treatment itself (TMI!), but l will tell you that Inez was right…I was totally okay! I was offered numbing spray which I happily accepted — better safe than sorry. The type of wax used at Strip Wax Bar also helps make waxing less painful as it adheres only to the hair and not the skin. I also loved that the purple wax was color coordinated with the decor in the salon!

After waxing, it was time for my vajacial. I know…this is the part you have been waiting for! A vajacial is a four-part “facial” for your bikini line. It begins with an anti-bacterial cleanser followed by a gentle papaya enzyme used to dissolve dead skin build up and prepare for extractions. This is followed by a targeted mask to treat individual skin concerns and finished with an application of lightening cream to treat any discoloration.

The Results

Don’t worry…I won’t post any pictures. However, I will tell you that the results were surprisingly fantastic! My bikini area has never looked or felt better! To see the results for yourself you will just have to get yourself over to your nearest Stript Wax Bar and try these treatments out for yourself!

Stript Wax Bar offers a wide variety of other treatments!

This waxing experience was MUCH less painful than I was expecting. I think the combination of the numbing cream and the type of wax helped a lot. :)

Thanks for this – I think what’s missing in my life is a vajacial ;)

  3. Oh wow. Yeah… still not sure. I recently tried threading for my eyebrows and it wasn’t the pain, but the fact that I was only able to go a week before it was crazy needing to be done again!

Hmmm… Maybe I’d think about this one. Have to try everything once, right?
