Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE animals. My family consists of two children, one cat, an English Bulldog and a recently adopted puppy named Jackie (after my icon, Jackie O.). Pets are a lot like children and for some people, they are their children. Unfortunately, so many dogs and cats are abandoned or neglected and in need of someone’s love and support. Thankfully there are organizations such as Friends of Animals Foundation and people with big hearts like Krista from Classic Kids Photography in Santa Monica who have partnered up for the months of June, July and August to raise awareness and funds for our furry little friends. Friends of Animals Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit no-kill rescue and shelter located in West Los Angeles. For nearly 30 years F.O.A.F. has sheltered an average of 145 dogs and cats at a time, not discriminating towards any breed or size.
As I have written about before, adopting a pet is a HUGE decision and commitment. There are many benefits to adopting a pet. First of all, there is no greater gift than saving a life. By adopting, you are not supporting any puppy-mills and you are giving a deserving animal a second chance with a loving family. You also save financially since the dogs and cats are already vaccinated and neutered or spayed prior to adoption and you only pay a small adoption fee.
Picture Perfect Pooches!
Classic Kids Photography recognizes that pets become a part of your family. What better way to honor that than to include your furry little one in your family photo shoot or in a shoot all their own? Throughout the month of August, Classic Kids Photography will donate $50 of the $95 sitting fee towards F.O.A.F.
I wanted to participate in this fundraiser so I recently visited their studio for a photo shoot of both my children and our two dogs (our cat was not in attendance because he is a scaredy cat of car rides). Let me tell you, our holiday photo is going to be ah-mazing this year!!! Krista is a talented and very patient photographer, she is like the dog/kid whisperer behind a camera! She got both the children and my four-legged children to cooperate and enjoy themselves in front of the lens.
I am thrilled to have captured the little loves in my life all together and so grateful to the wonderful organizations out there like the Friends of Animals Foundation whose mission is to save our furry friends.
Here are some shots of my pooches modeling and looking quite dapper!

I totally love the pictures of my grand kids (two legged and four legged). Looking forward to my Christmas Card.
