Without further adieu…..here are my favorites for this week!
Good Work(s) Make a difference $24 to $48
I am in love with these stylish and inspiring wrap bracelets by momprenuer Helena Cho. Each colorful bracelet by Good Work(s) Make a Difference is embossed with a number of uplifting and motivating phases such as “forgive,” “strength,” be aware,” “faith,” “freedom,” “accept diversity.” As someone who strongly believes in the power of positivity, as soon as I laid my eyes on my friend’s Good Work(s) bracelet, I knew I had to have one — or two!
Here’s my favorite part…not only do these bracelets make you look and feel good, just by purchasing one you are helping to do good! 25% of the net profits go to good causes to inspire one community at a time. In 2012 Good Work(s)’s goal is to move 120 homeless families off the streets and into completely furnished homes in their “Home Sweeter Home for the Homeless” campaign. Good Work(s) continuously finds opportunities to “do good” by helping those in need. Whether it’s sending girls to the prom who couldn’t afford their dresses, tickets and such to helping children through college when their mom has passed away from breast cancer.
Stay tuned for an upcoming Good Work(s) GIVEAWAY!! In the meantime, get your Good Work(s) bracelet from www.goodworksmakeadifference.com or at Apricot Lane Boutiques throughout the USA and in Downtown Disney in Anaheim.
Cuisinart ICE-21 Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker
On a recent trip to visit my brother and his fiance in the mid-west I was introduced to this nifty little machine that whips up batches of heaven. I don’t have one of my own Cuisinart ICE-21 yet, but when I purchase mine, I plan to make this recipe of homemade peach frozen yogurt immediately!

The Olympics
Maybe it’s just me, but it seemed like the timing for the patriotic feelings emitted from watching the Olympics could not be timed more perfectly after the recent outburst of hatred and display of inhumanity in Colorado. I think that after hearing how hateful people could be to each other it has been refreshing to learn about all the advertises that countless countries and individual athletes have overcome in the pursuit of their dreams.
Our whole family is mesmerized by watching the athletes compete in their events and we tune in daily to watch gymnastics, diving, cycling, volleyball and any other sport being covered on NBC! My little lady spent ALL DAY on Monday pretending she was on the Olympic gymnastics team sporting her leotard and pointed toes. She leaped, did cartwheels, attempted hand-stands and balanced on our coffee table so she could get ready for the Olympics games. It made my heart melt. It’s hard to imagine how hard the athletes around the world have trained for the competition going on right now in London. Their passion for their craft is evident in each athletes eyes and it is impossible not to share in their emotions through every win and loss.

Homeland
When I haven’t been watching the Olympics this week, I have been obsessed with watching the 9 time Emmy nominated Showtime hit, Homeland! CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is convinced that Sergeant Agent Brody (Damian Lewis) a recently been rescued POW from Afghanistan after nine years, is linked to an Al-Queda terrorist plot to be carried out on American soil. Agent Mathison battles her own demons while the story of Sergent Brody’s time in captivity is revealed and the terrorist plot unravels. I am completely addicted to this show. My mission: to watch all 16 episodes from season 1 and convince my hubby that we need Showtime before the Season 2 premiere on September 30th!

G Wear – $68 *GIVEAWAY*
Given my patriotic mood, I am sure it will not be too surprising that these G Wear shirts that are made in America (not China!) and feature all-American themes are on the top of my favorites list this week. G Wear by Stanley Jackson is an eco-friendly company that designs one-of-a-kind organic cotton t-shirts, with unique designs created from recycled fabrics. G Wear reflects a strong interest in the environment. This brand currently comes up with new ways of creating clothing designs that resist categories. Using T-shirts as a “canvas” and recycled fabrics as stitched-appliqués, G Wear creates designs that allow the wearer to communicate a relaxed style all their own, with no two shirts being alike.” I was so excited when I saw USA’s very own Carly Patterson wearing a G Wear shirt in her interview on the Today’s Show! G Wear shirts are available for purchase on the G Wear website or at Apricot Lanes stores across the country and at Downtown Disney.
Here’s how to win a patriotic G Wear t-shirt of your very own!
