This summer I co-hosted a bridal shower for my truly fantastic future sister-in-law with my mom and two other bridesmaids. You probably already know excited how I get about hosting events, but when paired up with my uber-creative mom and two other creative ladies, the sky was the limit on how we could shower this extra-special bride-to-be!
My brother and his native-Hawaiian fiance will be tying the knot on Maui in December — on my brother’s 30th birthday! So many reasons to celebrate! They are planning a whole week of activities for their guests including motorcycle rides to Hana, hikes to the swinging bridges, and a snorkeling expedition. I am sure that it goes without saying that we are all so excited to spend the week celebrating their nuptials!
For the shower, we wanted the convey feelings of fun and sophistication with a sense of personality and personalization! Here’s what we came up with….
Decorations and Favors
Group Gifts
We decided to recruit the help of all the guests to create two group gifts for the bride; a recipe book filled with recipes from all the guests and a wreath filled with advice and wishes for the couple. Our vision was for the food to warm the couples’ bellies and the wreath to hang in their home as a reminder of their loving family and friends.
Bridal Shower Games
Finding tasteful and enjoyable games at a shower are not always easy, but the guests loved participating in these three activities – how well do you know the couple?, toilet paper bridal gown creations, and paper plate drawing!
We were so thrilled that Kelli loved her bridal shower and we were honestly a bit sad when the party ended. The good news is that the wedding celebrations are far from over!
In the meantime, I will keep my creative energies flowing by planning a few more special events…stay tuned for details!!! {Hint: Kristal’s BIG 3-0th birthday bash!!!}

This bridal shower was so fun! My bride to be loved every second of it! Great work decorating and planning by my mom, sister and the other bridesmaids!
