Since moving to Manhattan Beach 3 and a half years ago, we have looked forward to the annual holiday open house and pier lighting event held in downtown Manhattan Beach each year! It is a festive way to kick of the holiday season and enjoy the strong sense of community in the South Bay. Local businesses invite customers into to their stores and restaurants to shop and dine where distinct gifts, intriguing offers and delicious treats are plentiful! There’s no better time to get started on your holiday shopping than on this spirited evening!
Festivities will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6pm until 9pm. At 7pm the Mayor will flip the switch and illuminate the night with the holiday lights on the Manhattan Beach pier! It is a breathtaking site that signifies the beginning of the holiday season for the Beach Cities.
There are numerous activities for children to enjoy on this night such as:
- Visiting Santa’s reindeer — that’s right…REAL reindeer!
- Crafts and activites at the local shops
- Decorating gingerbread cookies at Becker’s Bakery – YUM!
- Listening to carolers and musician performing
- Sitting on Santa’s lap and sharing holiday wish lists
Don’t Miss Stopping At Pages {A Bookstore}
If you are in the area, make sure to stop by Pages {A Bookstore}! Kristal and I have been little elves working late into the night in an effort to help Pages {A Bookstore} create a magical holiday window display for all to see! You won’t want to miss it! Your little ones will also enjoy making a reindeer bookmark to take home with them as a keepsake of this special night. Rumor has it, Santa will be parking his reindeer right in front of the store too!
We look forward to seeing you there!

So cool about Pages. I’m going to try to get down there with the kids – and actually find parking this year, so we can enjoy the festivities.
can’t wait for the PAGES WINDOW UNVEILING
Be sure to post pictures!
